Found in real assessments

If the antivirus can be uninstalled without a password, are you protected?

That is what we found, more than once. Any user, or any malware, could remove the protection. Our assessment verifies this, and hundreds of other checks, in around two hours.

What the assessments reveal

The same pattern, assessment after assessment

Three numbers that sum up what we found, whatever the sector or the size of the organisation.

100%

Critical protections switched off

In every assessment, fundamental protections were disabled without the team knowing: paid components switched off, policies left on their defaults, and advanced remediation missing.

46%

Of the estate with no protection at all

It is not only switched-off configuration. We found environments with nearly half the devices carrying no security agent at all: invisible to the console, outside every policy. You cannot protect what you cannot see.

41%

Of the paid-for protection, active

Average utilisation of the licensed platform. No organisation passed 60%. The rest of the investment sat idle, and the corresponding risk stayed open.

Behind the numbers, active threats left unremediated and paid protections that were never switched on. Your environment is most likely no exception. The only way to know is to measure.

Aggregated data from Menshen assessments carried out between 2025 and 2026.

The assessment

Installing Kaspersky is the first step, not the last

The most dangerous state is not being unprotected. It is believing you are protected while half your defences are switched off, part of the estate was never covered, and no one is watching.

The assessment measures what is genuinely active in your environment, across six pillars, and delivers a report in Portuguese with the risks classified and the fixes prioritised.

It applies to any organisation already protecting its endpoints Any device that connects to your network and needs protection — desktops, laptops, servers, mobiles. with Kaspersky, on any business edition and on-premises (KSC) or in the cloud. It answers three concrete questions.

Which protections are actually active?

Component by component, policy by policy: what is switched on, what is switched off, and what was never configured at all.

Where are the critical risks?

Unprotected devices, offline agents, outdated databases and settings that expose the environment.

What should be fixed first?

Recommendations prioritised by risk, with the effort of each fix indicated.

When an organisation is unhappy with Kaspersky, the cause we find is almost always the configuration, not the platform. Fix the configuration and the value shows, and it becomes clear why we chose to specialise in this vendor for endpoint protection.

Menshen 6-Pillar Method

Six pillars, from component to coverage

Every assessment runs through the six pillars below. In each we measure what is active, what is switched off and what was never configured, and calculate the share actually in use.

  • 01

    Basic protection

The everyday baseline. Usually active, but rarely as complete as assumed.

  • 02

    Advanced protection

The layers that make the difference. This is where most paid-for protection tends to stay off.

  • 03

    Security controls

The capabilities of the higher editions. The pillar most often left unexplored.

  • 04

    Management and monitoring

The console exists. Effective monitoring, not always.

  • 05

    Maintenance and updates

What keeps protection current. Usually the first thing to fall behind.

  • 06

    Deployment coverage

How much of the estate is actually protected. Almost never all of it.

How we deliver

Four phases, a collection of around two hours

Collection is carried out by a Kaspersky-certified technician through console access. Your operation keeps running.

  1. Scope

Confirmation of scope, device count and console access. Scheduling of the collection.

  2. around 2 hours

    Collection

Reading and recording the state of the environment through console access, with no configuration changes.

  3. Analysis

Risk classification and per-pillar utilisation calculation, by Menshen’s Kaspersky-certified team.

  4. Delivery

Report with prioritised risks and recommendations, discussed with your team.

What you receive

A report to decide with, not to file away

A single report brings together everything you need to decide.

  • Risks classified by severity

Every finding backed by the evidence collected from the console.

  • Utilisation measured pillar by pillar

How much of the platform you already license is actually active.

  • Prioritised recommendations

What to fix first and why, with the effort indicated. The basis for any remediation.

The assessment is the structured diagnostic that opens Menshen's Kaspersky security services, and the checkpoint you return to across the cycle. Any remediation you decide on is a separate project, with your own team, another provider or Menshen.

Compliance · LPDP

The law does not wait for the next budget review

Endpoint protection is part of the obligations under the Personal Data Protection Law. The assessment verifies where you stand and gives you the basis to fix it before others find it.

Recurring finding

Every organisation assessed was in breach of the Personal Data Protection Law, without knowing it.

With real exposure to APD penalties. The breach does not disappear by going unnoticed, only by being fixed.

FAQ

Questions about the assessment

Does our operation stop during the assessment?

No. Collection happens through console access, in around two hours, and is read-and-record work. We make no changes to the environment configuration during the assessment, so your operation is not interrupted.

Do we need to have licensed Kaspersky through Menshen?

No. The assessment applies to any Kaspersky business environment, even if the licences were not bought through Menshen and the deployment was done by your own team or by another provider. What we measure is the real state of the protection, not where the licence came from.

Which editions and consoles are covered?

Any Kaspersky business edition, managed on an on-premises console (Kaspersky Security Center) or in the cloud. The six pillars of the assessment apply equally to both console types.

In what format do we receive the results?

You receive a report with risks classified by severity, utilisation measured pillar by pillar, and prioritised recommendations with the effort of each fix indicated. It is a document to decide with, discussed with your team.

What if the assessment finds problems?

The assessment is a diagnostic. The report ranks risks by severity, so you know what is most critical and what to address first. You can fix it with your own team, with another provider, or with Menshen through a separate proposal. The decision to proceed always stays with you.
